Bugles are one of my favorite foods! They aren’t greasy yet have a great crunch. Homemade Caramel Bugles are the perfect combination of salty and sweet…perfect for snacking at your house or taking to someone else’s.
Easy Homemade Caramel Bugles Recipe…
This recipe comes from my Grandma. As I’ve mentioned previously, both of my grandmas were GREAT in the kitchen and shared wonderful recipes with me throughout our years together. I miss them a lot! However, when I make one of the dishes they shared with me, it brings back all kinds of memories from my childhood.
This Caramel Bugle recipe came from my mom’s mom. I don’t know where she found it, but it probably came from her local paper. This isn’t an ancient family recipe, but it is one that we’ve enjoyed often. I modified the original recipe to be microwave friendly because, really, who has time to wait for a sweet and salty snack? 🙂
Honestly, this would make a great gift for Teacher Appreciation, to share with a new neighbor, or to give your mail carrier. I really find that food is the bond that helps bring us joy and creates friendships. Now, if you wanted to double the recipe and keep some for yourself, I won’t judge.
